Mercedes-Benz just pulled the curtain back on the interior of the upcoming electric Mercedes C-Class. Ahead of the April 20 world premiere, the focus isn’t on horsepower or zero-to-sixty times. It is on the cabin.
The Hyperscreen Setup
The dashboard is dominated by the MBUX Hyperscreen. It uses a matrix backlight system with 10 million pixels. Instead of a standard tablet glued to the dash, the display stretches from pillar to pillar, blending the center console into the instrument panel. The front passenger gets a dedicated screen for entertainment, isolated from the driver’s view.
Cabin Comfort and Materials
The shift to an EV platform removes the transmission tunnel, opening up floor space. Mercedes added a panoramic glass roof and high-end seating that includes:
-
4D audio systems built into the headrests.
-
Massage, ventilation, and memory settings.
-
A vegan-certified material package.
To handle efficiency, the car uses a heat pump for faster heating in winter and laminated glass to cut wind noise. Lighting also plays a role, with ten ambient styles that extend across the doors and the roof frame.
The Missing Numbers
While the “theatrical” interior is polished, Mercedes remains quiet on the utility side. We are still waiting for confirmed range, charging speeds, and pricing. The main question for buyers is how much of this high-end tech stays in the entry-level models and how much is locked behind top-tier trims.
